Exhibition Roşia Montană - architecture documents
From August 15 to September 15, 2012 the Association ARA presents the exhibition
Roşia Montană : architecture documents (II.)
hosted by the Unitarian Parish of Roşia Montană.
The rooms at the ground floor of the Unitarian Parish House of Roşia Montană host the exhibition of the documentary material - sketches, drawings, architecture surveys, photographic records or data acquired by 3d laser scanning - produced by the participants to the latest documentary campaigns organized by ARA, students and graduates of the architecture faculties in Bucharest, Cluj-Napoca, Iaşi and Timişoara.
The exhibition presents 9 properties: three churches and six dwellings, built between the first decades of the 18th century and the second quarter of the 20th century, documented from 2009 to 2011.
The monuments illustrate several instances, significant for the vernacular architecture of Roşia Montană, adding to the image drawn by the exhibiting of the first series of architecture documents referring to this site, in autumn 2010.
The material on display is published at ARA Editions in a new issue in a series dedicated to the documenting the historic architecture of Roşia Montană (details here).
The exhibition was opened on August 15th, within the FânFest cultural festival.
The exhibition is open daily from 9am to 5pm
